My interests and hobbies have tended to turn into my occupations. Horticulture, Cooking, Children/Day care. I have worked at all of these.

Living in Canada the growing season is not all that long, about May to September. I live in Ottawa, the countries Captial City. We have that very long skating rink you may have heard about. The Canal. Winters here are long and very cold.So we celebrate with a winter festival called Winterlude. The summers can be scorchers. I wouldn't want to miss the changing of the seasons, wouldn't want to live anywhere else.

My garden is very important to me. I want time to spend smelling the roses.

I love gardening, so much that I took a 2 year horticulture course at a community college. I worked for a year in Kitchener Ontario as a plant tec for The Plant Lady. We put all kinds of plants in malls and private homes.Very hard work, and very little money. When I got pregnate with Matthew I was in the best shape of my life. I stayed at home with Matt and never got back into plants professionally.

Gardening is a passion of mine.

Presently I work part-time as a dietary aid in a residential retirement community, the Red Woods.It's okay, except I'm not home at dinner time, I see my husband Carl about half an hour a day. I want to make my home business successful so I can retire, garden, look after my little family and enjoy life.

My Children arent little babies anymore.
My son Matthew 18, is over 6 ft tall and says Mom in a very deep voice.
I have a step-daughter that is 20 and starting university and going very well.
A daughter and grand-daughter out west in Edmonton Alberta.

We have two black cats, brother and sister and a puppy.The dog is Sam, a doberman shelty collie cross. He looks like a doberman with short legs and big ears. We love him alot. Hes so smart, he can walk around the block off lead, come, stay, and all the usual stuff. I've been thinking about getting into agility training with him, dogs in competition to get the ball through hoops and jumps etc.

My son Matthew is 18 this July. Hes so busy, he has a steady girl friend that the family likes alot, Melissa as well as a part-time job on the weekends. We don't see alot of Matthew these days. I do enjoy spending time with him and Melissa when they come over.
